Interactive dashboards use charts, maps, and graphs to display city data
Three new data dashboards created by the Office of Budget and Strategic Planning provide at-a-glance information on Capital Improvement Projects, employee demographics, and revenues and expenditures.
Each of these dashboards provides interactive maps or charts so that users may customize the view according to area of interest. For example, the CIP dashboard map can be viewed by ward or by project type. With this information we seek to increase transparency by making public data easily and freely available, and to provide information to the public about city spending.
Capital Improvement Dashboard: This dashboard contains an interactive map that shows project details for the Proposed FY 2020 Capital Improvement Plan by ward or by city department.
Diversity Dashboard: This dashboard summarizes diversity information about city employees based on salary, department, job title, tenure length, regular/temporary status, and full/part time status in conjunction with information on gender and ethnic group.
Revenue and Expenditure Summary: This report contains up-to-date information about revenues and expenditures at the city based on fund, department and unit, summarized by high-level category and source or object code.
These dashboards continue to expand the city’s trove of publicly available data, an online repository we have been building for more than a year. We provide this data as an affirmation of our commitment to transparency and community collaboration. Additionally, these data demonstrate the city’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in its workforce, as well as building a city that is welcoming to all.
We hope that you will use this data to improve your community, spark a business idea or just satisfy your curiosity. We will continue our work to build a comprehensive open data portal.
