UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Nickheila John turned in her top time in the 400 meters this season, and Brianna Hayes tied her season-best in the high jump for the NSU women’s track and field team over the weekend at the Penn State National.
John placed fifth in the 400 meters in a time of 56.41 seconds, her best time this indoor season by more than 1.5 seconds. The 56.41 is also the third-fastest time among MEAC women’s track athletes this season.
Hayes cleared 5 feet, 6 inches to tie for 12th in a deep field of high jumpers on Saturday. She also cleared 5-6 at the Hampton Relays in mid-January.
